News for the solo film of Black Widow!
According to website information THR and The Hashtag Show, The Marvel Studios separated a list of actresses to act in Black Widow beside Scarlett Johansson.
For both publications, the first confirming the name of Florence Pugh and the second with a list of other names states that the studio is looking for an actress known for the role of a rival for the character of Natasha Romanoff. An “Spy on the same level as Natasha but with completely opposite morals” is the description of the character.
In the comics, we have a character by the name of Yelena Belova, will we see her on the big screen too?
The complete list also has the names of Emma Watson, Alice Englert (of the movie Sixteen moons 2013) and Dar Zuzovsky (from the British series Hostages).
According to rumors, the start of production that was postponed from February to June, a few weeks ago, is due to the fact that the script of the film has been written at the last minute.
With direction Cate Shortland, the film received the production title of Blue Bayou and marks the return of Scarlett Johansson as the character. Production starts now in June.
So, if all goes well, the Black Widow’s solo film could hit theaters in early 2020. According to information from Heroic Hollywood, the production will have locations in Croatia and Miami, in the state of Florida.
According to the Collider website, screenwriter Ned Benson was hired to write a new version of the script delivered by Jac Schaeffer. Thus, delaying the recording of the feature.
Details of the story were not released.
The latest rumor stated that the film would then take place with the Black Widow still working for the KGB and would try to prevent the event from happening, where perhaps, the Millennium Bug would be some even bigger plan and a possible threat to the world. Check out more here.
