THE FX released the first photos of the miniseries Mrs. America!
The project was announced last year with the actress Cate Blanchett in the main role, read more here. And FX showed the cast featured as their characters for the 9-episode production.
In the plot, Cate Blanchett will play Phyllis Schlafly, a famous American lawyer and super conservative activist. She had strong opinions on social and political issues, where she was an opponent of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). The activist died in 2016.
The official synopsis released via EW says the series will explore one of the most difficult battles of an American cultural war in the 1970s that it helped create, Moral Majority, an organization associated with the Christian right and the Republican Party, which changed the political scenario in the country.
In the cast we have Sarah Paulson, Rose Bryne, James Marsden, John Slattery, Margo Martindale, Melanie Lynskey, Tracey Ullman, Jeanne Tripplehorn and Kayli Carter and Uzo Aduba.
Mrs. America still not expected to debut.
