DuckTales took out all the famous characters and focused on their secondary characters and it was awesome! Patrícia, Lena, Violeta, Capitão Bóing and Madame Patilda had an interesting development and even put a little Leopoldo and Darkwing Duck in the story.
SPOILER ALERT: This article contains information about the main events of the episode. Continue reading at your own risk.
The main plot was with Patrícia, who is looking for a way to deal with magic and try to get Lena out of the Shadow Zone, while in the middle of a search she makes a new friendship, Violeta Beija-Flor. The two close ties while Lena is desperate, afraid that she might create problems for her friend.
The unfolding is funny, because Patricia doesn’t want to mess with her new friend with magic, while Lena only complains. And therein lies the problem. In the shadow zone some monsters start to grow while Patrícia and Violeta become more friends and play with magic, and in the end we discover that they are monsters of Lena, who is jealous.
Cool is that in the end Lena ends up leaving the Shadow Zone and reinforces her friendship with Patrícia, besides being able to count on Violeta. It will also be nice to see Maga Patalógika coming back to torment everyone.
Meanwhile, the series toyed with the fact that Madame Patilda has no friends and thus puts her trying to get closer to Captain Bóing, who does not know how to react. It’s nice that he has soup with her, but the best is when they find a common passion in Darkwing Duck.
DuckTales it evolves well and shows that all the characters must have their moments, giving freedom to other plots and rest to the main quartet.
