Launched in early March in theaters, the film Two Brothers: A Fantastic Journey (Onward) was no longer doing so well at the box office, and with cinemas closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, Disney / Pixar needed to take action to avoid the failure of its production, and the early launch in the streamings was the alternative.
While most films take about 90 days to get from the cinemas to the internet, Dois Irmãos, with less than 15 days running, will now be available on digital platforms in the United States for rent starting this Friday (20) , for R $ 19.90.
Shortly thereafter, on April 3, the film will also premiere on Disney +, which unfortunately remains unavailable in the Brazilian market until November 2020, according to the most recent forecasts.
Check out the trailer for the Dois Irmãos: A Fantastic Journey animation below:
Synopsis: Set in a fantasy world suburb, the Disney-Pixar film features two teenage elf brothers who embark on an extraordinary mission to find out if there is still a little magic out there.
With Tom Holland and Chris Pratt in the original voice of the protagonists, Dois Irmãos came to take first place at the box office of Brazil in its opening week, but faces difficulties with the main networks of the country closing the doors as a preventive measure against the new virus.
Without Disney + in the country, it is not yet known how the Brazilian public will have access to the film, but the partnership between Disney and Amazon Prime Video leaves fans hopeful.
