Does the $ 900 million at the box office justify Aladdin 2? Disney seems to be working on a continuation of the live-action!

Even with a mixed reaction from critics, and with harsh criticism throughout the publicity campaign Aladdin reached 900 million at the global box office.

With $ 927 million, to be exact, information from the BoxMojo website, and the film taking first place in the opening weekend back there in the US, opening with $ 90 million, we have no doubt that the studio will start to rethink its strategy

The public seems to have liked the new adaptation, and with that, rumors of a sequel began to circulate.

The website We Got This Covered, states that the Aladdin 2, is in the beginning of development at Disney, where the studio plans to adapt the animation The Return of Jafar, from 1994, which was released straight to DVD at the time.

In the plot, Aladdin and Jasmine they thought they had gotten rid of the villain, who returns to Agrabah with a desire for revenge after being accidentally released from the magic lamp.

The publication states that the actors Mena Massoud, Will Smith, Naomi Scott, Marwan Kenzari would return to reprise their roles.

If Malevola and Alice in Wonderland won continuations, is quite capable of Disney planning the film yes, right?
