Problems with the adaptation of The Woman At The Window?
According to the THR website, Disney and the Fox plan to postpone the film starring Amy Adams for 2020, while dealing with some problems that arose after the film was tested for the audience in closed sessions.
The publication claims that the third act of suspense left some people confused, where the film, based on the book of the same name, follows a mystery surrounding the character of Adams.
The Woman At The Window had a premiere date for October now, where Fox seemed to count on the film for the awards season.
THR says that the film should go through the rewrites now in the middle of the year, but that they should wait for the protagonist’s agenda to be free.
Based on the book written by AJ Finn and launched in Brazil this year by the publisher Archer, nthe plot we know Anna Fox (Adams) a girl who lives alone in a house that once housed her happy family. Separated from her husband and daughter and suffering from a phobia that keeps her reclusive, she spends her days drinking wine, watching old movies, talking to strangers on the internet and … spying on neighbors.
When a new family, Russells, move into the house across the park, Anna is obsessed with that perfect family. Until one night, snooping through her camera, she sees something that changes her life forever.
But did that really happen? Or was it your imagination?
The film will be directed by Joe Wright and the script, based on the book, was written by Tracy Letts.
The cast includes actors Julianne Moore and Gary Oldman.
The Woman At The Window has no scheduled release date, remaining for 2020.
[Atualização] The film will be released now on May 15, 2020. Disney confirmed the information to THR.
