According to information from Deadline, Diego Luna returns for the new year of the series.

The actor Scott McNairy, who appeared in the season as a narrator, also returns, this time showing up on the screen after the events presented in the series at the end of the season.

Thus, Luna returns as the agent Félix Gallardo and McNairy as the mysterious agent who will lead a task force for this new year.

In Narcos: Mexico we see the rise of the Guadalajara Cartel in the 1980s, when Félix Gallardo (Diego Luna) takes command and brings together traffickers to build an empire. When the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) agent – Kiki Camarena (Michael Peña) moves from California with his wife and son to take up a new role in Guadalajara, quickly discovers that his task will be more difficult than he could have imagined.

As Kiki becomes familiar with Félix’s methods and becomes more and more involved in his mission, a series of tragic events begins that will change the rules of local traffic and the way he will be fought for many, many years.

Narcos: Mexico has production from Gaumont Television for Netflix. Eric Newman is the executive producer and showrunner. José Padilha, Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard they are also executive producers.

The new season has no premiere on Netflix.
