The movie Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, live-action from the popular saga of Japanese games and animations, had its second trailer revealed this Tuesday (26th) and left fans very happy with the result. Check out:
In the film, detective Harry Goodman mysteriously disappears and, trying to discover the whereabouts of a man, young Tim (Justice Smith), just 21, meets his father’s ex-Pokémon partner: Detective Pikachu (Ryan Reynolds ). Together, they set out on an exciting adventure through the modern metropolis where Pokémon and human creatures coexist side by side.
The world presented in the film is a hyper-realistic version of our reality, with direction signed by Rob Letterman, the same as Goosebumps and Monsters vs. Monsters. Aliens. For some reason that is not explained in the trailer, but that should be deepened in the final result of the film, Tim has the ability to understand what Pikachu says, in addition to the “Pika Pika” we have always heard – and it is very strange to understand what the character says.
The film is expected to be released on May 10, 2019 in the United States with distribution from Warner Bros., also arriving in Japan by the Toho Company and in China by Legendary. In Brazil, the premiere will be the day before, on May 9th.
