Daniel Henney is announced in the cast of The Wheel of Time

Daniel Henney was announced in the cast of The Wheel of Time, a coproduction of Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television, for the role of “al’Lan Mondragoran”. The series is based on fantasy novels by Robert Jordan, with over 90 million books sold.

Henney became known after starring in the series My Lovely Sam-Soon, Hello Francesca, Spring Walts and The Fugitive: Plan B in South Korea. He made his American television debut in Three Rivers; was scheduled to participate in Hawaii Five-O, NCSI: Los Angeles, Revolution – Emmy winner; and won regular roles in the pilot Agatha, gives ABC, it’s from Occult, gives A&E. After starring Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, the actor was called to the main cast of Criminal Minds, who just recorded the 15th and final season.

He has already given voice to the character Tadashi Hamada in the Disney animated film Big Hero 6, Oscar winner, and was part of the cast of X-Men Origins: Wolverine; The Final Confrontation; Seducing Mr. Perfect; My Father; The Spy: Undercover Operation; and Shangai Calling, the first romantic comedy co-produced by China and the USA, and starring an Asian actor.

The Wheel of Time is one of the most popular and enduring fantasy series of all time, with over 90 million books sold. The story takes place in an epic world, where magic exists, but only a few women have access. The narrative follows the arrival of Moiraine, a member of the powerful women’s organization Aes Sedai, in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous journey alongside five young men, when one of them is prophesied as the Dragon Reborn, responsible for saving or destroying humanity.

Based on Robert Jordan’s best-selling fantasy novels, The Wheel of Time was adapted for television by the executive producer Rafe Judkins (Agents of SHIELD, Hemlock Grove). Executive production is also signed by Larry Mondragon and Rick Selvage, gives Red Eagle Entertainment (Winter Dragon); Ted Field and Mike Weber gives Radar Pictures (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Winter Dragon); Darren Lemke (Shazam !, Goosebumps, Winter Dragon); Marigo Kehoe and Uta Briesewitz, who still directs the first two episodes. Rosamund Pike acts as a producer, and Harriet McDougal and Brandon Sanderson, as consultants.
