Sandy and Junior’s live raises nearly 2 million in donations
Largest payment application in Brazil, with around 18 million users, PicPay created a Donation Center and is present in some of the main lives as an official means of collection.
Yesterday (21) it was the turn of the live of the duo Sandy and Junior and look what happened: the show, broadcast live from the singer’s home in Campinas / SP, raised R $ 1.32 million in favor of the “Music Hunger” , a project that aims to collect and allocate food to those in need.
The previous day, the backlanders Chitãozinho & Xororó, Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano and Leonardo had already raised R $ 1.7 million with the show Amigos. The money went to the Hospital de Amor de Barretos and the Amigos do Bem project.
Still on the live of Sandy and Junior, PicPay donated another R $ 500 thousand reais to Central Única das Favelas (CUFA), which will be used for the project Mãe da Favela.
“This is the time to think about the collective. As a distance payment application, PicPay has had the pleasure of helping such important causes by facilitating the contribution of thousands of Brazilians, who can make their donations directly by cell phone, in the security of their homes ”
says Gueitiro Genso, the company’s CEO.
Created especially to help institutions that are at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19, the PicPay Donation Center also brings together the Doctors Without Borders, Ronald McDonald Institute, World Vision, UNICEF, Mesa Brasil and Pracatum initiatives.
