Looks like someone has been taking advantage of the 4th of July holiday to vent on Twitter huh?
The director Christopher McQuarrie, who commanded Mission: Impossible – FallOut Effect used the social network today (5) to talk about the ideas and projects he had in mind for a film by Green Lantern It’s from Super man!
A user asked: What is your involvement with the film Green Lantern? Is it foolish or too complicated to explain?
The director replied: It is very complicated to answer. The movie would connect to a Superman movie that Cavill and I tried to sell. Nobody accepted.
The studios never cared about our original ideas. They want me to fix the broken ideas that are not going to work.
He further states that he submitted a formal written proposal for a film from the Green Lantern, it is a pitching for Superman, a meeting with the executives, where he just talked about his ideas for a future project.
Both projects did not go ahead.
According to the director, the studios left him in limbo with no response, neither positive nor negative. And he said that there is also a lot that he would like to work on.
Would you like to see a superhero film directed by the director?
McQuarrie works with Paramount Pictures on Top Gun 2: Maverick and in the next films of the franchise Mission Impossible. Already Henry Cavill debut The Witcher through the Netflix, and rumors claim that the actor will no longer be the Super man through the Warner Bros.
