CCXP receives Julien Bolbach to present the incredible making of the film The Lion King

THE CCXP it is the perfect place for all fans of pop culture, including those more curious to get behind the scenes of their favorite productions. For this reason, the festival receives, on Thursday (5), the visual effects supervisor (VFX Supervisor) from MPC (Moving Picture Company), Julien Bolbach. He will present his work to the public in The Lion King, gives Walt Disney Pictures, film directed by Jon Favreau. Your participation in CCXP – which this year happens between December 5th and 8th, at São Paulo Expo – is an invitation from VFXRIO, one of the most important events dedicated to technology and entertainment, held between November 30 and December 2, at Casa Firjan, in Rio de Janeiro.

In The Lion King, Julien Bolbach worked directly with Favreau and the entire production team on the creation and lighting of 17 main animals, 63 unique species, more than 650 thousand insects and billions of blades of grass and vegetation in a virtual space of 150 square kilometers. “The Lion King presented the unique challenge of creating a feature film in CG that could cross the border of photorealism and be perceived as live action by the audience. The director and the production design team wanted a naturalistic look, strongly influenced by the real images of African landscapes. To create a world that could be fully explored by a wide variety of virtual lenses, the MPC team had to focus on creating complete CG environments on a scale that had never existed before”, Says Bolbach.
