CCXP announces comic book artist Joëlle Jones for Artists' Alley

THE CCXP just confirmed another big name for the Artists’ Alley. For the first time in Brazil, the North American Joëlle Jones will be at the festival for the celebrations of 80 years of Batman. The artist was the first woman to design covers and internal pages of two consecutive editions of the hero’s magazines, since her first appearance in 1939. The current writer of the magazine Cat Woman he will be at CCXP every day to sell his works, autograph, talk to the public and participate in panels. The 6th edition of the largest pop culture festival on the planet takes place between December 5th and 8th, at São Paulo Expo.

The respected comic book portfolio includes covers and internal artwork for many magazines from Marvel, script and art for Lady Killer, published by Dark Horse Comics, in addition to projects in publishers such as BOOM!, Vertigo, Oni Press and New York Times. His work also won the attention of the luxury brand Prada, who hired her to make exclusive brand art. She recently created the design of the Catwoman wedding dress, a story that Panini in Brazil in May.

In addition to Joëlle Jones, CCXP has already announced big names for Artists’ Alley. Among the already confirmed artists are international artists John Romita Jr., Frank Quitely, Eduardo Risso, Lee Bermejo, Alex Maleev, Keith Giffen and Charlie Adlard. Brazilians like Germana Viana,Rebeca Prado,Ju Loyola,André Dahmer,Robson Rocha,Jun Sugiyama andAlexandre Carvalhowill also be present.
