Brazilian animation Oswaldo will win the cinema screens in June in another initiative of the partnership of cartoon Network with the Cinemark Network. A special in continuous story format will be shown in 30 cinemas across Brazil, exclusively on the days 1st and 2nd of June.
The initiative is part of the expansion of Cine Cartoon, which brings to Cinemark theaters across Brazil a regular schedule of unpublished content from the channel’s most beloved properties. “We had an incredible experience with Turma da Mônica in 2018 and, this year, we opened the calendar with Irmão do Jorel, which was a great success bringing together more than 14 thousand people in theaters. The 9th highest result in the chain totaling Saturday and Sunday. We are hoping that Oswaldo will follow the same path and can attract more and more audiences to theaters“, Comments Adriana Alcântara, senior director of content and national production for Cartoon Network.
The special is a connection of five new episodes from the second season of the animation. Are they: Georigins, Oswaldo is The New Black, Oswaldinho da Publiça, Immediate checker contacts Degree and Dropped and Stopped. Spectators will follow, between one episode and another, some of Oswaldo’s discoveries, all with the character’s characteristic humor.
Created by Pedro Eboli and produced by Birdo, the Brazilian design Oswaldo, which was Cartoon Network’s third most watched show in March, tells the story of a boy, or rather, a penguin and his friends in the daily challenge of surviving school. Oswaldo has the incredible ability to transform simple life situations into epic adventures.
