Guaranteed success! Captain Marvel’s MCU introduction film is breaking many records around the world and her newest achievement is the incredible reach of $ 1 billion at the box office around the world. In the United States alone, the box office of the film already exceeds US $ 358.1 million, while in the international market, another US $ 644.5 million is added to the number. Running in theaters less than a month ago, the number is likely to grow even more.
The film starring Brie Larson hit theaters in Brazil on March 7 and, a day later, on Women’s Day Friday, around the world. Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, the film proves its success in criticism and box office, going against the expectations of anti-fans of the protagonist and her interpreter.
In the film, it goes back in time to before the Avengers Initiative, when set in the 90s we met the pilot Carol Danvers who, after being involved in a radioactive explosion, acquires superpowers but loses her memory and is taken to fight in other worlds. With flashes of her life on Earth, the character accidentally comes back here and starts a journey that will divide her not only between being human or alien, but to discover which side she is on when a galactic war between two alien races is launched.
Meanwhile, Marvel studios begin the countdown to the release of Avengers: Endgame, a new film in the Avengers franchise that promises to end the heroes’ battle with Thanos. Directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, one of the longest-awaited proposals in the film is the Captain’s first encounter with the Avengers, since Carol Danvers has been away from Earth to fight on intergalactic missions since the events of her solo film.
