Game of Thrones may be over, but the Bryan Cogman don’t stay without a job!
According to information from Deadline, Bryan Cogman, series producer of HBO, signed a contract with Amazon to work on the project that develops the book franchise Lord of the Rings to the platform.
In the last season of GOT, Cogman was responsible for the script for the episode A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the second of the season. The professional worked together with the main producers of the series, the duo David Benioff and DB Weiss.
The plot of books and films, took place in Middle Earth and is a medieval fantasy story where a hobbit called Frodo Baggis need to lead a mission to destroy a powerful ring. In theaters the saga lasted three films The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), The Two Towers(2002) and the Return of the King (2003) that raised more than 3 billion dollars.
The idea of Jeff Bezos, CEO of the streaming service has always been to have a Game of Thrones style series in the channel’s catalog, and it seems that Amazon can solve this problem.
There were no announced names involved in the cast or an estimated start of filming.
A debut date will be announced by the streaming service in the future.
