Brazilian documentary on Sailor Moon premieres this week

Sailor Moon, a popular 90s anime produced by Toei Animation based on the manga by Naoko Takeuchi, was broadcast in Brazil in 1996 by Rede Manchete and, to celebrate its 25th anniversary of this animation that has marked lives around the world, the documentary Silver Wedding Anniversary: ​​25 years of love for Sailor Moon will be released soon.

The production is the responsibility of a group of Brazilian fans who raised funds to go to Japan, where they interviewed names like Junichi Sato, director of animation, and Hiramitsu Takuya, director of musicals.

The documentary will be released in a series format on June 30 – the anniversary of the protagonist Usagi, Sailor Moon. A launch event will be held at Associação Miyagi Kenjikai, in Liberdade – São Paulo, from 12 pm to 8 pm, where the first part of the documentary will be shown and will also feature special panels with anime voice actors, musical presentations and cosplay contest. .
