Blizzard Entertainment promotes panel with Christie Golden at CCXP19

THE Blizzard owns large franchises loved by the public for several generations, such as Diablo, Hearthstone, StarCraft, Overwacth, Heroes of the Storm and Warcraft, which turns 25 in 2019. To mark such an important moment for the company, the developer will bring to the CCXP19 one of the authors who contributed to expand the history of Azeroth, the fictional universe in which the narrative of the various games in the franchise takes place.

The American writer Christie Golden is the highlight of the panel “Creating the worlds of Blizzard Entertainment”, Held on Saturday (7), at the Ultra Auditorium. In its 6th edition, the largest pop culture festival on the planet takes place between December 5th and 8th, at São Paulo Expo.

Christie Golden is bestselling author of New York Times and has published more than fifty novels and short stories in the genres of fantasy, science fiction and horror. The writer became known for her works in the worlds of World of Warcraft, Besides Star Trek and Star Wars. She currently lives in Orange County, California, USA, and since 2017, is the senior writer on the creative development team at Blizzard Entertainment, working full-time at Blizzard’s headquarters in Irvine, California.

In her participation in CCXP19, the author will invite the public to dive into the vast world of Warcraft and World Of Warcraft, one of the most popular and influential titles in gaming history. Golden will talk about his work, talk about more than 10 books of his own about the franchise and the development of the stories that make World Of Warcraft the most popular online MMORPG in the world, including the latest World of Warcraft: Before the Storm, recently launched in Brazil by the seal Guys, gives Record Publisher.

In 2018, the festival received 262 thousand visitors, setting a record attendance and establishing itself once again as the largest pop culture festival in the world.
