Black Lightning finally it shows Jennifer taking the reins of her powers, but also starting to see that she may have trouble using it to the extreme. Unfortunately many plots are getting lost along the way, and some characters are becoming boring.
SPOILER ALERT: This article contains information about the main events of the episode. Continue reading at your own risk.
What we see here is Tobias growing and becoming limitless, since with the help of Dr. Jace and Cutter, he manages to take the cameras that were with Lynn and thus have a real army of metahumans under his control, since besides all of them it has a mechanism that can not only stop them when they want to, but also kill them.
At the end of the episode, we even see Tobias asking Cutter to get rid of Todd, showing how dangerous the villain is now, but something is missing to make us even closer and more fearful of them. Since Tobias was introduced in a form and then started to grow up here, and today he just became an “ok” villain. And look, they were doing a good job with him.
Angered Jennifer starts to go after the gang of 100, and beating one by one, at one point she used her own powers too much and almost “fried”, having to be saved by Anyssa. I think now we should have your uniform on the show.
For Anyssa we see her discovering from Gambi that Grace Choi is a false name and that her past is much more mysterious than she can imagine. I already want to see them head into this universe, and what Choi’s past can bring to the series.
And finally we have Jefferson being able to recover his work at Garfield, but after a conversation with Lowry he identifies that he can do much more if he supports him and still having time to be the Black Ray. It was a very good exit that the series arranged, and does not create a force against Lowry, who has a very tense past.
Let’s see how Black Lightning will return …
