Black Lightning | 2 × 08 - The Book of Rebellion: Chapter One: Exodus

Black Lightning (Black Lightning) decided to develop the drama of Jennifer and Khalil now, putting them both in danger and in Tobias’ sights. The point is that it can put everyone’s secret identity at risk, while also bringing control over Jennifer’s gift.

SPOILER ALERT: This article contains information about the main events of the episode. Continue reading at your own risk.

The entire episode was focused on the couple, who became a kind of Romeo and Juliet, since both are not well liked together after everything they did. At least now Khalil is free, since Jennifer has shortened the locator that Tobias implanted under his skin.

The moments of the two fleeing were cool more because of the issues that separate them both, since he is in crime and she comes from a family of superheroes, but at least he knows that he was forced into this because of Tobias, and not because of Black Lightning as he imagined.

Meanwhile, Anissa makes it clear to Jefferson that his and Lynn’s exaggerated protection was what kept her away and now keeps Jennifer away, who felt trapped in her own home and without the chance to show that she can do more. They go to Khalil and manage to get close, but once again they run away, even more with a killer on Tobias’ command behind them.

Tobias is surprised that Jennifer is with Khalil, and even more, he starts to connect the points of how the Black Ray is always around when it comes to Jefferson’s daughters … I think that things should take a turn now.

Black Lightning (Black Lightning) continues to make good episodes, even if it slips here or there, but the construction of everything is very cool.
