The embargo on visiting the feature set Ghostbuster: Beyond fell and the magazine Vanity Fair published a very cool article about the departure of journalist Anthony Breznican during the recording of the film.
The magazine published new photos of the feature that arrives in July in American cinemas, check below.
Directed by Jason Reitman, son of Ivan Reitman who commanded the first films in the 80s, the most interesting information is the confirmation of the original cast in the new version.
The publication sees that Bill Murray returns as Peter Venkman, Dan Aykroyd like Ray Stantz, and Ernie Hudson like Winston Zeddemore.
The publication further states that Annie Potts is back as Janine Melnitze Sigourney Weaver as Dana Barrett must also show up and spent a few days on the film sets.
How the group should participate in the plot remains the mystery. At the reboot of 2016, with a female cast, they had participations, but the publication says that everyone returns, in this new film, to interpret their roles in the franchise.
In Ghostbuster: Beyond, let’s follow Callie (Carrie Coon) a single mother and her children, Trevor (Finn Wolfhard) and Phoebe (Mckenna Grace), move to a small town, they begin to discover their connection with the original ghost hunters and the secret legacy that their grandfather left behind.
In the cast we still have Paul Rudd as Professor Grooberson who is with the character of Coon in this unpublished photo released.
The new film will take place in the universe in which the original 1984 film, directed by his father. In addition to directing, Reitman will co-write the new film alongside Gil Kenan.
The new film The ghost hunters is scheduled to debut in August 2020 in Brazil.
