Released in 2019, the Brazilian film Bacurau it was highly acclaimed by both the public and critics. If you haven’t seen it or liked it so much that you want to review it, the time is now: Bacurau has just arrived in the Telecine catalog!
Awarded at the Cannes Film Festival, presents a story set in the Brazilian hinterland in western Pernambuco, called Bacurau, where Dona Carmelita, a well-loved citizen, has just passed away at the age of 94. It doesn’t take long for other residents of the community to realize that Bacurau has disappeared from the map, and even stranger things start to happen as the peaceful region is invaded by drones and foreigners.
With an unusual but very balanced mix of drama, western, science fiction and even the bloody genre gore, the feature is written and directed by Juliano Dornelles and Kleber Mendonça Filho.

The film also has a large cast led by Sônia Braga in the role of Domingas. Udo Kier, Bárbara Colen, Silvero Pereira, Thomas Aquino, Karine Teles, Antonio Saboia, Lia de Itamaracá and Wilson Rabelo complete the main team of the plot.
At Telecine, the film is already available from this Friday, March 6th.
