News from the musical series of Netflix with direction Damien Chazelle!
Announced there in 2017, the production earned its first name in the cast, the actor André Holland. THE Netflix released today that will produce a musical series with the director Damien Chazelle, in La La Land – Singing Stations!
The series marks the consolidation of the presence of the streaming service in Europe, with local productions. Like this, The Eddy, will have 8 episodes and will be executive produced by the Oscar winning director along with the production company IMG.
The series will have filming in France and will have dialogues in French, English and Arabic. The musical drama, must take place in a contemporary and multi-cultural Paris and focus on a theater, its owner and the city that lives around them. The script will be in the hands of Jack Thorne and Chazelle will direct the first two episodes. Producers Alan Poul and Glen Ballard were responsible for the music and the soundtrack.
In a press release, the director stated “I’ve always wanted to record in Paris, and I’m very excited to be joining Jack, Glen and Alan in this story and I’m even more excited to have found a home for the project on Netflix.”
