THE Amazon has just announced that it is – exclusively – the streaming home of the sci-fi series The Expanse. Seasons 1 through 3 arrive at day service February 8 in more than 200 countries and territories.
Based on the books of James SA Corey, The Expanse it is a success with audiences and critics, as well as being an award winner. The series is a political science fiction that goes on for hundreds of years in the future. In this scenario, humans colonized the solar system and the UN commands the Earth while Mars is controlled by an independent military force. Desperate for oxygen and water, the series begins with Earth and Mars on the verge of a war for dominance of the Asteroid Belt. With scarce options for survival, the allies are battling for the future of humanity.
Prime Video also launches this year the eagerly awaited fourth season of The Expanse, exclusive series and Prime Original. The CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, announced the news in May 2018, at the National Space Society’s International Space Development Conference, in Los Angeles, where he met with the cast and producers of the series.
Written and co-created by the nominees at Oscar, Mark Fergus (Iron Man) and Hawk Otsby (Children of Hope), the series features big names such as: Thomas Jane (From the bottom of the sea), named for the Golden Globe; Shohreh Asgdashloo (Star Trek: Without Borders), nominated for an Oscar; Steve Strait (The pact); Dominique Tipper (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them); Wes Chatam (Hunger Games); Cas Anvar (The Punisher: In War Zone); Frankie Adams (Mortal Machines); Shawn Doyle (High frequency); Chad L.
