Looks like Eddie Murphy is committed to reliving its successes once again in theaters.
After the sequence of A Prince in New York leave the paper and arrive in theaters scheduled for the end of 2020, it was time for another film of the actor to win a sequel.
It’s about comedy Heavyweight Cop released in the 80s, and which had two more films released in the years 1987 and 1994.
So, in an interview with the website Collider, the actor commented that the fourth film in the franchise was already in development at Paramount Pictures.
“This is what we are working on after Prince in New York 2. we will make Heavyweight Cop, and then the plan is to do stand-up“. The actor will return to the program Saturday Night Live where he participated during the early 1980s.
The plot of the first film follows police officer Axel Foley as he heads to Beverly Hills, California, as he searches for clues about the murder of his friend. There, he stays as a tourist and goes after more information. However, Lieutenant Bogomil (Ronny Cox), from the Beverly Hills Police Department, does not trust Foley, and makes it difficult to search for evidence.
Heavyweight Cop 4 has no premiere date.
