Based on the book of the same name, 13 Reasons Why is here to stay: with a trailer recently released to publicize the third season, which arrives this month on Netflix, it was also announced that the series has been officially renewed and that the fourth season is already ordered. There is still no premiere date for the fourth wave of episodes.
Also known as “The Thirteen Porquês”, it is an Original Netflix series that drew the attention of the younger audience when touching on subjects that are still taboo, such as suicide and depression, but it generated controversy when it was very explicit, and could encourage instead of raising awareness.
After numerous criticisms of an explicit suicide scene in the first season, the streaming platform chose to take the clip off the air recently, more than two years after its release.
Although the events of the book have already been covered, Netflix chose to continue the story of Hanna Baker (Katherine Langford) by addressing how her suicide affected the lives of the people she left behind, as well as the consequences experienced by those who did her harm , regrets and even new deaths.
According to the third season trailer, Bryce Walker, who raped the young woman and was listed by her as one of the reasons for her suicide, was murdered. The new episodes will address the search for answers about who committed the crime. Check out the video:
The third season will be released on August 23, only on Netflix.
